Guyana Traditional Sewn Flag
MrFlag Brand traditional sewn flags are manufactured using a combination of sewing (using a woven polyester fabric designed specifically for the flag industry), and appliqué of printed knitted polyester for more complicated elements. Each flag is reinforced with a tuck at the heading, and the individual sections are joined using fell and run interlocking seams, and are fitted with the traditional British rope and wood toggle.
Whilst sewn flags are amongst the most durable flags available, and resist colour fading well, their construction makes them heavier than other types of flag and they are not well suited to low wind situations.
These flags tend to be made to order and customers should allow 2-3 weeks for delivery. If your order is time-sensitive we recommend that you buy from our Professional range.*Choosing the ‘Antifray’ option results in a piece of white netting being sewn to the right edge of the flag. It is commonly held that this netting will fray first thus prolonging the life of a flag, however there is no statistical evidence whatever to back this. We believe that it is an unnecessary expense which, in many cases, has the opposite effect to that which is intended. We offer an ‘Antifray’ option ONLY because customers occasionally insist on it. We do not recommend it.
