How Our Flags Are Made

Professional Quality Printed Flags

Most flags listed on MrFlag fall into this category. Durable and colour-fast, these outdoor flags are digitally printed onto a medium-weight 115gsm knitted polyester bunting. MrFlag® brand Professional Quality flags are among the most versatile and best value flags on the market in the UK today. Combining quality materials and optimum flying weights, we expect these flags to last as well as sewn flags whilst flying much better at lower wind speeds.

Fitted with rope and toggle as standard, this professional quality flag can be fitted with metal eyelets or a sleeve at no extra charge. Please specify when ordering.

Recommended For

All standard flag use.

Not Recommended For

No flag should be flown in high winds and expected to survive unscathed. Professional quality printed flags are hard-wearing and durable, but they WILL eventually fray and become tatty. For safety reasons we don’t recommend that you burn our flags, but if you absolutely MUST, please do so with due regard to those around you. Polyester fabric melts when put to the flame and will spatter high-temperature droplets of molten polyester if swung around.

Colourfast / Fade-Resistant

All flags in our Professional Range are colourfast (in water), and we offer a full exchange policy for any which fall short of that. All fabric colours fade when exposed to prolonged bright sunlight for an extended period.

Stock / Delivery Times

All professional quality printed flags are made to order (and consequently may only be returned in the event of a product fault/failure). Please allow 7 working days for delivery.

Country Of Manufacture

We manufacture these flags in the United Kingdom from materials primarily sourced within the UK.

Custom Options

We can make any flag which has ever existed.

Traditional Sewn Flags

Durable and colourfast, these outdoor flags are hand-sewn to very high specifications using monofilament thread and durable (Ministry of Defence approved) fabrics and suppliers. Base fabrics tend to be woven polyester bunting, whilst appliquéd designs also utilise a polyester-cotton mix. The default finish is a sturdy white headband with polypropylene rope and a wood toggle, but grommets or other fittings may be requested in the ‘Special Instructions’ section of any order.

All standard flag use.

All flags in our Professional Range are colourfast (in water), and we offer a full exchange policy for any which fall short of that. All fabric colours fade when exposed to prolonged bright sunlight for an extended period, and sadly ours are no different. However, in normal circumstances we would expect colours to outlast the useful life of the fabric itself.

Printed Economy Flags

Listed with the word ‘Economy’ in brackets after the country name – example: ‘France (Economy)’ – and usually found in the ‘Economy Flags’ section of the MrFlag shop – these low-cost flags are printed onto lightweight polyester fabric, and come complete with headband and grommets. Designed for indoor use (or occasional outdoor use in fine weather) these flags are printed in bright clear colours (not colourfast).

Recommended For

Long term indoor display, light outdoor use, or as rugby/soccer supporters flag.

Not Recommended For

Significant exposure to wind, water, and/or bright sunshine. These flags are a great lightweight economy flag, but they WILL fray and tear if subjected to windy conditions for any length of time.

Colourfast / Fade-Resistant

In our experience they keep their colour well when wet, however they are not designed to be colourfast and are not sold as such. As with all fabric products, prolonged exposure to bright sunlight will cause colours to fade.

Stock / Delivery Times

We try to keep stocks of all designs offered for sale here. Most orders for these flags are despatched within 24 hours. Where your flag is not in stock, please allow up to 4 days.

Country Of Manufacture

We source these products from all over the world, including within the UK and throughout the EU.

Custom Options

These flags are inexpensive because they are mass-produced. We can make flags to your own design in this range with a minimum quantity of 500 units. Delivery times on such orders tend to be between 1 and 3 months.
