Wales Traditional Sewn Flag

The Wales Traditional Sewn Flag is designed for extended outdoor use and manufactured in the UK using durable woven polyester developed specifically for the flag industry. Combining traditional sewing techniques with reinforced construction, these sewn Welsh flags are built for long-term display and reliable outdoor performance.

Each flag is produced using pre-dyed woven polyester alongside appliqué printed knitted polyester for more detailed elements within the design. The result is a traditional sewn flag with a more textured and premium appearance compared to standard printed flags.

MrFlag® Traditional Sewn Flags are manufactured using a combination of sewing and appliqué construction techniques. Each flag is reinforced with a tuck at the heading, while individual sections are joined using fell and run interlocking seams for additional durability.

Designed for Long-Term Outdoor Use

Traditional sewn flags are among the most durable flag types available and offer strong resistance to colour fading over time. Their heavier construction makes them particularly suited to outdoor display where long-term durability is important.

Because sewn flags are heavier than standard printed flags, they are generally less suited to low wind environments where lighter-weight materials may fly more easily.

Sewn Flag Construction

Unlike digitally printed flags, traditional sewn flags are created by stitching together individual sections of fabric. More detailed design elements are applied using printed knitted polyester where required.

This combination of sewn construction and reinforced finishing gives the flag a more traditional appearance while maintaining durability for regular outdoor use.

These flags are typically made to order. Customers should normally allow 7-10 days for manufacture and despatch.
